Mark your diary for the fourth Fremantle Ports Harbour Master Classic and start training for Perth’s most scenic fun run!

This is your chance to run fast, flat, fun and traffic-free, along Fremantle Port’s historic Victoria Quay and out to the South Mole lighthouse. Whether you are a serious runner or are looking for a post-summer challenge, this event is for you.

The Harbour Master Classic is a WA Marathon Club event starting in front of the iconic Fremantle Ports building, heading north-east along Peter Hughes Drive through the date palms and past the heritage-listed Passenger Terminal - enjoying the harbourside sights and sounds. Take in ships and cargo before heading back to WA’s Maritime Museum, past the historic HMAS Ovens submarine and east by the quaint Slip Street sheds. As you pass Challenger TAFE, enjoy the sweeping views of Bathers Beach and Cockburn Sound as you make way on the port side of the road to the South Mole light house, and return to Victoria Quay with magnificent views of the Inner Harbour.

Challenge yourself with the 5km or 10 km event and enjoy the scenery of Australia’s best maritime gateway. Get a school team together, run with the football/netball club or in a family group. Prams are welcome and there’s a kids’ run too.

Spot prizes will be awarded on the day - among them will be one for the best nautical costume. All finishers will receive a medal.

Runners are encouraged to get to the event by train, with Fremantle Railway Station just 300m from the start line.

Online registrations close on Sunday, 5 May @7:30 AM, unless sold out prior.

Maritime Day is back! Showcase your business at Western Australia's bi-annual maritime festival and participate in a great community day.
