B Shed redevelopment

Check in regularly for project updates and site modifications

As we continue the transformation of Victoria Quay, the next phase is the B Shed Revitalisation project. Starting in October 2025, the project delivers a modern Rottnest ferry terminal and visitor experience, and performing arts space inside our much-loved heritage cargo shed.

What’s happening?
  • B Shed, adjacent to the ferry terminal, is being redeveloped and amenities improved for
  • Rottnest travellers - works are now underway
  • During construction, new traffic, parking and drop-off arrangements are in place
What’s changed?
  • Most of Victoria Quay Road, which runs alongside the ferry landing, has been closed
  • A new ‘kiss and drop’ lane is located at the western end of the E Shed car park, near Cliff Street
  • Several 15-minute parking bays are also available next to the ‘kiss and drop’ lane
  • Long-term parking for overnight trips is located to the east, past E Shed (see next page)
  • Ferry boarding will now take place alongside C Shed
What do I need to do?
  • Get there early: arrive 30-40 minutes before departure for parking and luggage unloading
  • Follow the signs: they’ll guide you to parking, drop-off and boarding areas
  • Be sun-smart: bring sunscreen, a hat and water for comfortable boarding
  • Stay informed: see the map for details and visit the Victoria Quay website for updates
  • Avoid hassle: consider taking public transport or a rideshare service

Thank you for your patience as we continue the transformation of Victoria Quay!
