Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix presented by KPMG is nearly here - the grandstands are up and Fremantle has that festive sailing feeling!  Fremantle Ports has partnered with SailGP and Tourism WA to provide a safe event space for spectators and the racing teams. With this in mind, there will be some changes to port access during (and adjacent to) the event.

If you are intending to join the fun in Fremantle over the weekend of 17-18 January, we are prioritising pedestrians and encourage you to use public transport. Parking will be limited.

Temporary access changes to some Fremantle Ports areas and road closures are as follows:

• North Mole Drive and Northport Emma Place will be closed to the general public from 10pm on 14 January and reopened on 19 January.
• The main access into Victoria Quay at Cliff Street roundabout, will be closed from 10am to 5pm on 17 & 18 January. The exit from Victoria Quay via the roundabout will be permitted.
• Access to Victoria Quay will still be available from the underpass on Beach Street (opposite Officeworks).
• Current access to Fleet Street is limited. Fleet Street will be closed from Monday 12 January until late January.
• South Mole reopens to the public on 30 January.

The Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix presented by KPMG will kick start the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship, a global calendar of events featuring national teams battling it out in identical high-tech, foiling catamarans and racing at speeds exceeding 100kmph.

Monday 1 December 2025: Closure of South Mole for SailGP set-up
Wednesday 14 January (PM): North Mole Drive (to the Lighthouse) closed
Friday 16 January 2026: Official practice racing
Saturday 17 January 2026: Race day 1
Sunday 18 January 2026: Race day 2
Monday 19 January 2026: North Mole Drive reopens
Friday 30 January 2026: Reopening of South Mole to public
